Information You Submit
When you use a search form, the name, phone number, or address you enter is sent to the third-party search provider that supplies the results. We do not store those searches on our own servers. If you send us a message, we receive the details you choose to include and use them to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to operate the site and understand which pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use the information described above to run the site, troubleshoot errors, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell a visitor list, and we do not create individual user profiles.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to El Cerrito, Contra Costa County, California, court, library, and third-party search resources. Each outside site controls its own privacy practices, so information you submit there is governed by that site's rules. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a third-party company.
Who Might See Your Data
Vendors that host and support the site may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires it; otherwise, we do not share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is delivered over an encrypted connection. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Because this site does not offer user accounts, it does not maintain an account password or profile for you.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed to children and is intended for users who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a website holds about you. California privacy sources describe rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, and the California Delete Act / DROP program addresses deletion requests to registered data brokers. Because we hold very little, most requests are limited to checking our contact mailbox and server logs and removing what we find. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by El Cerrito, Contra Costa County, California agencies, or courts are outside our control; access to those records is governed separately, including by the California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 et seq.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
